While
I can agree, the consumer has the right to boycott an entertainer who
behaves in a manner not acceptable to them. I am compelled to point out,
that Natalie Mains, committed no crime, and committed no sin against God.
She merely exercised her right afforded all American citizens under the
First Amendment. Not to mention she epitomized to the world at large a
tangible sign of our republic, and American freedoms, by speaking out.
Please, be reminded, you
consumers who are so offended by her words how you heard very
little discussion let alone outrage from the media, or consumers recently
when another entertainer, who, as a known pedophile. at age 43, anally
raped a13 year old girl, and fled the country to avoid the consequences.
A pedophile, who recently received accolades, and awards.
His movie enjoying not only
ticket sales, but also the citizens, and consumers claiming what a great
movie it was!
Ask, yourself, as a law-abiding, Christian, nation of consumers where,
and when did the Dixie chick break a law, or commit a sin?
Yet, can the
same be said of the pedophile, Roman Polanski?
The patriotic, and Christian consumers made the rapist pedophile richer,
and of course by his living in a foreign nation he most likely avoids the
dues usually paid to the IRS.
And, do the citizens, and consumers of our great nation realize that
the world at large also witnesses the righteous American hypocrisy?
The media ran many stories about
how Dale Petroskey, as
president of the Baseball Hall of Fame, initiated a preemptive strike on
free speech while he helped further divide our nation, by dis-inviting
Tim Robbins, and Susan Sarandon from appearing at the Hall due to their
opposing the war.
However, there seems to be very little media coverage how Petroskey is a former
Reagan, administration official, and he was reprimanded by the Hall
organization after they received over 5,000 emails the day of his
announcement, and over 28,000 responses to his decision.
He was not
only reprimanded by
the organization, he also apologized to the couple, the people, and
the organization for his actions.
Author Roger Kahn, whose "Boys of Summer" is considered among the best
baseball books ever published, canceled his August appearance to speak
at the Hall in protest of how the couple was treated.
I, for one, have been appalled at the backlash from people, over
American citizens speaking out against the administration, and/or the war
effort.
There is ample evidence to support the
claim Bush, made about being a 'uniter not a divider' has not come
to fruition.
On the contrary, many agree that they have never
seen this nation as divided over issues as during the
past three years. And, my opinion is, this division began when the supreme
court seated Mr. Bush.
However,
it seems to me the feeding
frenzy began with the statement, "You are either with us, or against us!"
Lately, there are references to Hitler, and WW2 -- again
-- do citizens need be reminded, that everything Hitler did was legal due to the Third Reich
, manipulating the
laws?
Do citizens recall there was
a Bush, on the scene during that era as well? In 1942 Prescott Bush,
father of GW, had his assets seized under the, Trading
with the Enemy Act. He was also, hiding monies for the Nazies.
Here today in America we are making history. Laws
are rapidly being changed.
Citizens have a choice to
get informed, or remain unaware, blindly follow the administration, via
the media, and continue to place men of flesh in the same esteem they
hold their deity.
I often see the statement, "God Bless
America!"
God blesses ALL his children, and a passport,
nor citizen papers are required.
My mantra of late has been, "God help
US!" and "God forgive US!"
"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that
we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only
unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American
public "~ Theodore Roosevelt~ (1918) ~
