Brownie Swirl Cheesecake

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
One package of Betty Crocker brownie mix- 
the kind that contains a packet of Hershey's syrup.  
Mix as specified on the instructions and 
pour into a greased 9 inch spring form pan.
One or two round cake pans can also be used if you don't mind 
cutting the cheesecake to get it out.
Bake at 350 degrees.  

If making one (1)cake, bake the brownie for half of the instructed 
time for the brownies.  
If making two (2) cakes, bake for approximately 15 minutes.

2 8-ounce packages Philadelphia brand cream cheese, softened
1/2 Cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 Cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces, melted

Combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla, 
mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended.  
Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Pour over brownie layer.  
Spoon melted chocolate over cream cheese mixture; 
cut through batter with knife several times for marble effect.  
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.  
Loosen cake from rim of the pan; 
cool completely at room temperature before removing rim of pan.  
Garnish with whipped cream and maraschino cherries, if desired.
